1988 Mustang LX Convertible
When I bought it......10 years ago.
windshield trim painted white
All trim painted white
Switched to Cobra Rs
Got a New Hood
Put this thing on
Blew it up once
Blew it up again
Put in DSS 306 w goodies, Tubular k member, lowered it
Why? BC Racecar
Killed a Panda family, made an interior out of it
Moved, 306 ran like shit, sold it, tore car apart for full resto
Thought i had a jeep
Had spaghetti for dinner
Made my own engine bay panels
upgraded to 5 lug
Made custom brackets for stock length discs
got cool stuff for the rearend
Did some body work, smoothed everything
Got some new wheels
Hate chrome so dipped the centers.
Spots where i fixed the rust and body work that was messed up...
351w complete on the left. 351w high nickel 74 block in the middle. 302 shortblock on the right.
Had to to see if theyd even look good....itll be up much higher than that though
Did a few things this weekend.....
-Installed 95 Mustang GT Ball Joints
-Installed SN-95 Spindles
-Installed 02 Saleen Calipers/Discs
-Installed Front Shocks/Springs
-Installed the Rear End
-Lakewood Lower Control Arms
-KYB GR-2 Shocks
-Factory Upper Control Arms (changing)
-FMS C Springs
Pushed the car out and cleaned out the garage as a whole, now i have room to sand/prime/paint
Sanded a LOT. Still have a lot to go. about 1/2-3/4 of the car is now completely sanded and ready for primer. Hopefully this week i can get the rest of it sanded and a coat of primer on the car. Also made fender stands to paint the fenders off the car......This car has Sooooooooooo much trim.
Just a first base coat of primer. NEed to sand it down, look for body work if any and then shoot another coat over it. Then its ready for paint. I took the doors off, I will be painting the doors/fenders separately. The hood was freshly painted before storage, and the trunk lid is staying the way it is until i can figure something else out.
Fenders are done! next up Doors, Trim, And Bumper covers.
More body work.....ugh
