FS: 1997 F150 "Lightning"
So this forum seemed like a good place to collect my thoughts and write down everything I have done to this truck to try and add a value to it. I'm not set on selling it, but really want to finish my mustang.
Truck is a 1997 F150 with a 2001 Ford Lightning swapped into it. Everything was swapped, wiring harness, computer, suspension, brakes, etc.
Mileage on the odometer reads 51,XXX from the Lightning. Current motor was rebuilt new at 27,000 miles with a built shortblock from VT engines. The 4R100 transmission was rebuilt around 20,000 miles. The truck was "frame off restored" at 30,000 miles when I swapped the truck. Truck was built in 2010.
Truck makes 500hp/600ft lbs on boost and 683hp/812ft lbs on spray. Has ran a best of 10.82 in the 1/4 mile. I have driven this truck with no worries. Made several trips to KC and back. Driven to Topeka and Kearney this past fall to race at the track. Its currently has a street 91 oct tune, street e85, and race e85 nitrous tune from Eric Korn. Gets 10mpg on e85 and ~15-16 on 91.
Frame stripped and powder coated black along with suspension parts.
