just gets irritating dealing with guys who dont ask questions for the purpose of learning something they ask questions to make less of someone. it always seems to only be forums from this state too. im used to it though. what time would you guys be satisfied with. mx6 or whatever aside. what time would be impressive? curious as to what it would take to impress a crowd liek you guys

the day the MX6 runs a 13 at a real track, they will be plenty impressed.

yep you got it. regardless of a record or not. we are very pleased with the time. but we went much faster last night and still drove it home. ill post the video when i get some time to edit.

Seriously, this thread intrigues me. I'm not trying to take away anything from his accomplishment of building a fast car.
lol yeah we try to keep it as simple as possible, but a lot of people have different understandings of "stockmotor" so i was trying to clarify by naming as many stock major parts that are included with the term. the mx6 guy thought those were all aftermarket parts i was naming when he read it the first time and from then on he got off on the wrong foot with this thread it seems no biggie.
thats why i was curious how fast would be impressive if the 10.5 was not already cuz we went faster last night and it held together. we are trying to decide whether to keep going till it blows or pull it out now and put in the built motor

well itll be while if the stock one doesnt blow anytime soon. we have two races in august that we planned to use the built motor we have waiting, but we thought the stock one would be done by now. we might just race on the stock one if its still around in august.
so the motor is stock but you can do whatever else u want besides mod the internals?
i thought thats what you meant with this post you made. it didnt seem like you understood when you watched the video. guess i misunderstood. have you decided what time you would like to see out of the car yet?

No one said "hey guys I've noticed that we can corner the market of stock gsr cars. We should really go for it and establish a niche and build a brand off of it. hey Derrick are you going to write up that business plan???"
I think all you guys are missing the point. It is a honda with a stock motor. For the past decade+ to run <10s through many many blown motors people found out it usually takes lots of money to make the proper modifications not only to the motor, but for the whole car. Things like iron sleeves, block guards, springs, retainers, cams, huge turbos etc, to make that 900hp to get down the track AND make it last. Professional teams/shops, drivers and sponsors to get there.
These boys did it all with ebay stuff, just ****ing around. All they are claiming is that it is remarkable and very rare for this piece of **** car to do that well. It is not supposed to still be alive. That is why it is a record. They are just poking their noses at the irony. But you all cut them down although you have not done anything yourselves.
If JesterMX6 ran low 12s with his car I would be giving props as well, because it is just not "supposed" to happen.
